The B4U CEO Saif-ur-Rehman was allowed interm bail by the Supreme Court against the surety bonds of RS1million on Monday. He was recently arrested by NAB for fraud.

Saif-ur-Rehman the owner of B4U or Saif ur Rehman group was charged deceiving the public in a multi-billion rupee scam.

On Thursday, a bench consisting of Chief Justice Athar Minallah and Justice Amir Farooq rejected the suspect’s bail petition. But Saif managed to escape from NAB at Islamabad High Court.

The NAB officials were in his pursuit when they received information about his attendance at the Supreme Court. On his arrival at the Supreme Court the NAb officials were present there and arrested him.

The acting cheif justice Ata Bandial took notice of the matter. NAB was demanded to present the suspect in court and explain the dramatic arrest on the court premises.

Later on, prosecutor general NAB submitted unconditional apology to the Supreme Court for the arrest within the court premises.

The Supreme Court objected that the “Rule of law is more important than the recovery”, if NAB was required to do a recovery it should have been according to the law.

Khan was arrested from the court’s premises at around 9:30 in the morning and was able to secure an interim bail around noon after NAB produced him before the court. He also directed that the CCTV footage of Khan’s arrest should be produced in the next hearing, which is scheduled for September 1.
