Audit report finds irregularities worth Rs1.8bn in Institute of Kidney Diseases Peshawar

PESHAWAR: The audit report of the Peshawar Institute of Kidney Diseases from 2018 to 2020 has revealed irregularities and irregularities of more than Rs1.80 billion.

According to the report of Director General Audit Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, out of the expenditure of Rs35.1 million, Rs7 million bills are missing, GeoNews reported. Without the approval of the provincial government, Rs1,69,00,000 were drawn under the title of ‘staff allowances’. 

According to the report, the administration caused a loss of Rs78.5 million to the national exchequer in various purchases.

The auditor has also recommended scrutiny of loss recovery and other purchase records.
