Attack in Ormara, Razmak, 19security personnel, one officer embraced martyrdom

In two separate cowardly terrorist attacks, 20 security personnel including one officer martyred on Thursday. Security personnel made the ultimate sacrifice and embraced shahdat.

Seven soldiers and seven security guards embraced martyrdom near Ormara, Balochistan when terrorist attacked a convey of Oil and Gas Development Limited (OGDCL) on Coastal Highway. Terrorists incurred heavy losses in this encounter.

Inter Services Public Relations said that an encounter took place between security forces and large number of terrorists on Coastal Highway, when a convoy of OGDCL was being escorted from Gwadar to Karachi. “Security Forces responded effectively, ensured Security of the OGDCL persons and managed their safe exit from the area.”

During the clash, substantial losses were also incurred to the terrorists.

“As a result of this encounter, 7 brave soldiers of FC Balochistan and 7 security guards sacrificed their lives and embraced shahadat.”

ISPR said Security forces have cordoned off the complete area and search for terrorists is underway.
“Such Cowardly acts by inimical elements to sabotage peace, stability and economic development in Balochistan shall never be allowed to succeed. Moreover, these acts can not subdue resolve of our forces which are determined to defend motherland, even at the cost of their lives.”

Razmak Attack

A captain and five soldiers of Pakistan Army embraced martyrdom in an improvised explosive device (IED) blast in Razmak area in North Waziristan.

Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) in a press release said security forces’ convoy was passing in the Razmak area when the IED planted by terrorists on roadside exploded, killing six army personnel, including an officer.

Those, who embraced Shahadat, included Captain Umar Farooq, 24, Naib Subedar Riaz Ahmed, 37, Naib Subedar Shakeel Azad, 44, Havaldar Younas Khan, 36, Naik Muhammad Nadeem, 37, and Lance Naik Asmat Ullah, 30.

Prime Minister condemned the attack. Chief Minister Baluchistan in a tweet said “enemy does not want Balochistan and its people prosper.”
