The Sukkur police have issued orders to arrest Khuhro SHO Aijaz Magi and others after a woman accused the police officer and his friends of sexual harassment and attempted rape.
According to a report in a local media outlet, the woman hailing from Gambat had filed a complaint against the SHO, head constable, and their Naseed Ahmed last week.
According to the complaint, the policemen and Ahmed forced her into their car on the pretext of a search operation for her missing friend. During the ride, the police and Ahmed kept molesting and even tried to rape her, she said in her complaint.
According to the woman, she jumped out of the car to escape the “intoxicated” policemen. She filed a report with the magistrate the next day.
On April 19, Sukkur DSP began a probe into the case. In a report, he stated that multiple witnesses confirmed that the complainant was seen in a car with the police officers. Subsequently, the Khuhro police were instructed to take action against the SHO and other men accused and arrest them immediately.
SHO Magsi, on the other hand, denied these accusations, as per the report.
