On Thursday, the US called for Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi to resume the talks on Iran nuclear deal. Although trump unilaterally withdrew from the agreement, there have been attempts to reinvoke the deal recently.
Ned Price the States department spokesperson demanded that Tehran return to diplomacy after the failure of the Sixth-round table talks in June. Price commented that the longer Iran acted, outside the shackles of the Nuke deal, the fewer advantages would remain. He urged cooperation from Iran so that a mutual decision could be reached.
On Thursday, Raeisi during his oath-taking speech welcomed any diplomatic initiative from the west and said that the sanctions imposed on Iran must be lifted.
