Cambridge International has announced that it will not switch to school-assessed grades, adding that it will follow up with further details.
“We are now looking urgently at how best to make this work. We will not switch to school-assessed grades,” the board said in a statement.
It also emphasised the need for safety, stating that it is “working hard” to support schools and authorities in Pakistan in ensuring uninterrupted education amid a raging pandemic.
Earlier, Federal Minister for Education Shafqat Mahmood held a meeting with Cambridge to discuss rescheduled examinations.
“After detailed discussions, Cambridge has agreed to reschedule ‘O’ level exams to after May 15,” he revealed in a tweet.
