Indian troops initiated a ceasefire violation in Bagsar Sector along the Line of Control (LOC) on Tuesday, according to reports from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
Pakistan’s army troops responded befittingly, they said. There have also been reports of heavy losses to Indian troops in men and material.
In an intense exchange of fire two soldiers, Naik Shahjahan, 35 years and Sepoy Hameed, age 21 years, lost their lives.
This is not the first time India has violated a ceasefire along the Line of Control. Last week, two Pakistani soldiers died while responding to Indian unprovoked firing along the border. This year alone, India’s violations have led to over 2000 deaths.
