Two officers of the Frontier Corps sustained injuries in a blast at Quetta’s Saryab Road on Monday morning.
According to the police, initial reports suggest the explosives were planted near the footpath. An FC vehicle passing by came under attack when the bomb exploded.
The injured officers have been moved to the Bolan Medical Complex. Doctors say they are out of danger.
Balochistan has been under constant attack for the past two months. Last week, 12 soldiers were killed in bomb and gun attacks in Panjgur and Noshki. All of them targetted FC camps.
Reports suggest the attackers were armed with the US made weapons and night vision goggles.
Immediately after the attacks, Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmad tightened security across Pakistan and instructed the police, Rangers and other law-enforcement agencies to stay alert.
