Pakistani Twitterati lashed out at Muhammad Hafeez on his unnecessary comments on former Pakistan captain Sarfaraz Ahmed. It all started when Mohammad Hafeez took to Twitter and congratulated Muhammad Rizwan on his maiden T20I century against South Africa.

Sarfaraz in reply said, “whoever has played for Pakistan from Imtiaz Ahmed, Wasim Bari, Tasleem Arif to Saleem Yousuf and from Moin Khan, Rashid Latif to Kamran Akmal and even Rizwan right now has always been number one for the country and have been respected accordingly.”

After their Twitter brawl, Twitter users came out in support of Sarfaraz Ahmed and took Mohammad Hafeez to the cleaners and reminded him of Pakistan’s wicket-keeper batsmen achievements.

A Twitter user reminded Hafeez of his poor record against South African bowler Dale Steyn who will be playing for Quetta Gladiators in the upcoming season of Pakistan Super League under Sarfaraz’s captaincy.

A Twitter user said that there was no need for Hafeez to take a dig against his team mate and Hafeez needs to work on his off field attitude.

Another twitter user said that Hafeez had no reason to bring Sarfaraz while praising Rizwan.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) officials have spoken to both the players and asked them to stay away from needless controversies in the future, according to the sources.
