“Together for Peace” AMAN-21 multinational naval exercise to be held in February

The exercise is conducted after every two years since it was initiated in 2007

Pakistan Navy’s War Exercise Aman 2021 to be held in the month of February. More than 40 countries will be particpating in the exercise. For the first time in over a decade, Russia will be part of the exercise alongside North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).

China, Japan, U.S and UK will also take part in this. The last time Russia’s navy participated in drills with NATO warships was in 2011 during the Bold Monarch exercise off the coast of Spain.

The idea behind these exercises is to further enhance the coherence among different nations for regional peace. Furthermore, they also help in imparting operational knowledge and experience among different countries.
