The Taliban claimed that they were working on an inclusive caretaker government for Afghanistan, reported Al-Jazeera.
The leadership council is pondering over the form of the future government and nominable ministers.
The sources claimed that leaders from all the ethnicities will be included in the government. Although no ethnicity enjoys a decisive majority, Pashtuns make up 42% of the 42 million population. The government intends to welcome the Tajik and UZbek tribes in the government, who have been sidelined till now.
The nominations will include ministers from internal security, defence, foreign affairs and information. Taliban have promised special courts for corruption cases and also suggested the implementation of Tariffs.
The new Afghan government will have an “amir-ul-momineen’ as its supreme leader, the sources informed.
Taliban co-founder Mullah Baradar is in the capital, Kabul, while Mullah Mohammad Yaqoob, son of Taliban founder Mullah Omar, has travelled from Kandahar for the initial consultations on government formation, the sources said.
It has come to light, that the US has been insisting on the inclusion of certain members of the previus governments, including former President Hamid Karzai, and Abdullah Abdullah the former head of Afghanistan’s High Council for National Reconciliation.
The Taliban have claimed just rights for women, within the boundaries set by Islam. With regards to their inclusion in the government, the women will be allowed to work in health and education as they did in the previous government.
On Thursday, two deadly explosions at kabul airport took the life of 110 people, including 28 Taliban and 13 US troops. The Taliban source said that it was unfair to focus on the casualties at the airport, when millions more are enjoying the security in Kabul.
