The Taliban killed 10 Afghan National Army (ANA) soldiers, injured three and kidnapped five others in the northern province of Balkh on Monday night, local sources said on Tuesday.
The Taliban attacked an outpost in Sar Asyab village of the Chimtal district, the sources added.
Local authorities have not commented on the attack, but Taliban has claimed responsibility for the attack.
Meanwhile, in another incident on Monday evening, Ibrahim Door Andish, security officer for Takhar police, was killed during and operation to arrested terrorists in Taluqan, police spokesman Khalil Asir said.
