Pakistan will start exporting Sindhri mangoes to China from June 10, Adviser to the prime minister on investment and commerce Abdul Razak Dawood tweeted on Monday.

In his message posted on Twitter, he wrote: “MoC is pleased to inform that the start of Pakistan’s Sindhri mangoes will be exported from Pakistan to China from 10 June 2021 by air.”

“For our quality mangoes, China is a developing market. I encourage our fruit exporters to take maximum advantage of vast opportunities in China.”

Sindhri is one of the best varieties of mangoes in the world because of its unique taste and size.

Meanwhile, the ministry has set the mango export target for the current season at 150,000 tonnes that would expect to earn $127.5 million revenue for the country.

According to the All-Pakistan Fruit and Vegetable Exporters Association (APFVEA), the country earned $120 million from the export of mangoes.

“This year, it is estimated that 1.8 million tonnes of mangoes would be grown during the current season,” the association said in s statement.
