Pakistan’s top badminton player Mahoor Shahzad’s journey in the Tokyo Olympics came to an end on Tuesday when she lost her second group match to Kirsty Gilmour of Great Britain.
Mahoor put up some resistance against the 26th ranked British player but lost in straight sets with identical score of 14-21.
In her opening match, 133rd ranked Mahoor was outplayed by world number 5 Akane Yamaguchi of Japan 21-3, 21-8 in just 23 minutes.

Pakistan last won a medal at Olympics was in 1992 when the hockey team, led by Shahbaz Ahmed, had won a bronze medal in Barcelona.
