The remaining matches of the sixth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) are likely to begin on June 5, with Islamabad United taking on Lahore Qalandars.
Since the tournament will start three days later than it was scheduled, five double-headers will be part of the event in Abu Dhabi which includes four in round-robin stage and one in the playoffs.
The double-headers will begin on June 7, with the first match between Islamabad United and Quetta Gladiators followed by the night fixture involving Peshawar Zalmi and Lahore Qalandars.
The schedule has been prepared by PCB, in consultation with the PSL franchises, and is likely to be officially released later today.
Three hotels have been booked for the matches with two teams staying at each hotel, which is approved by the company incharge, Restrata, of maintaining the bio-secure bubble. Incase of any positive cases within a team, only two franchises will be quarantined, at the same time, while the rest can continue playing the tournament.
A mini-draft could also take place due to non-availability of foreign players. The final will be played on June 20, after which the Pakistan team will leave for England tour on June 23.
Players will undergo two rounds of tests before their departure to UAE on May 26. The players will end their quarantine period on June 1 during which two tests will be taken on May 27 and 29.
Teams will start practicing from June 2.
