Data from the National Command and Operation Centre has revealed that in the last 24 hours, most coronavirus deaths occurred in Punjab, closely followed by Sindh. A total of 2260 people tested positive on 25 December, with the number of deaths at 63.

Currently, as of 26 December, total active COVID-19 cases in Pakistan are 39,177. The recorded number of tests conducted on 25 December was 36,909; 11,692 in Sindh, 14,085 in Punjab, 5,976 in Khyber Pakhtunkhua, 3,673 in Islamabad, 779 in Balochistan, 390 in Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) and 314 in Azad Jammu and Kashmir(AJK)

Pakistan has seen 420,489 recoveries from the virus so far, with no patients on ventilators in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan and Balochistan. In total, 316 ventilators are currently occupied in the country.

A total of 469,482 cases have been detected so far; AJK 8148, Balochistan 18061, GB 4847, Islamabad 36981, KP 56875, Punjab 135141 and Sindh with 209429 cases.

So far, Pakistan has recorded a total of 9816 deaths; Sindh 3462, Punjab 3858, KP 1596, ICT 404, Balochistan 181, GB 101 and AJK at 214 deaths. 6,523,842 tests have been conducted as of now.

The country has 615 hospitals with COVID-19 facilities while 2,840 patients are admitted across Pakistan.
