The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) might have to shift the remaining games of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) to Sharjah as the Indian broadcasters have been expelled from their hotels in Abu Dhabi after health authorities raised question marks, according to a report.

“The PCB is trying to get approval for the Indian broadcasters. It will be decided tomorrow (on Wednesday). If approval could not be taken then the event would be shifted to Sharjah.”

The broadcasters have been sent to Dubai and will stay in isolation for the next seven days.

Keeping in mind this situation the PCB contacted with the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) and has successfully rescheduled Pakistan’s departure to England. Pakistani contingent will now travel to the United Kingdom on June 25 instead of June 23. This change will have no effect on the schedule of the series which will begin from July 8.

“Pakistan Cricket Board and the franchise owners this afternoon met in an online session to discuss the progress made in the staging of the remaining 20 HBL PSL 6 matches. During the session, the PCB also provided a number of updates,” the PCB official said.

The updates released by the PCB are: “Pakistan men’s team to now depart for England on 25 June instead of 23 June. HBL PSL 6 to now end on 24 June instead of 20 June, as planned earlier while departure for England on June 25 will mean only three double-headers, if the event commences on June 7.”

The PCB has also informed the franchises regarding the 16-member production company crew that were isolating in Dubai and were allowed to enter Abu Dhabi last week.

“NCEMA to decide on Wednesday afternoon if they will grant exemptions to 16 production crew to work in Abu Dhabi from 5 June to make 7 June start possible. The PCB to continue to engage with the Abu Dhabi government,” the statement added.
