The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) has accepted the challenge of Prime Minister Imran Khan for live coverage of foreign case “so that the entire nation could know the truth.”
Accepting the challenge of live coverage of foreign funding case, PPP Central Punjab Secretary General Chaudhry Manzoor Ahmed urged Prime Minister Imran Khan to stand firm on his challenge.
He said the PPP accepts the challenge for live coverage of hearings and investigations of foreign funding case in the Election Commission of Pakistan on the daily basis.
He said not only the foreign funding case, but live coverage of cases of references in the accountability courts should also be allowed, he added.
Chaudhry Manzoor demanded that live coverage of inquiries against opposition leaders in the custody of the National Accountability Bureau should also be allowed.
The prime minister, while addressing a gathering in Wana on Wednesday, offered the opposition parties for live coverage of foreign case so the truth could be brought to light.
He said every party head should attend the hearing. In this way the people would know who got the money from whom, he added.
He said the PTI is the only party that did political fund raising.
He said he did not want to name the countries from where opposition parties got funds.
The premier asked how Maulana Fazal-ur-Rehman amassed assets worth billions of rupees.
