Days after Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal asked for greater representation in the federal cabinet, Senator Shibli Faraz on Friday said that the federal cabinet will be reshuffled by next Monday.

The prime minister is reviewing the performance of the cabinet members and it is expected that he will induct three to four new state ministers in the cabinet, Shibli was quoted by Express Tribune as saying.

The PM has decided to make changes in the cabinet because he is not happy with the ministers who have failed to complete respective projects on time, it was reported.

“Frustration is growing within the party circles and the premier strongly believes that the ministers must start delivering without coming up with excuses,” an unnamed minister was quoted by the Tribune as saying.

The PM is currently in self-isolation at his Banigala residence after he tested positive for coronavirus last week.

It may be noted here that the Balochistan Awami Party, an ally of the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in Balochistan and Centre, has also sought representation in the federal cabinet. Earlier this week, Balochistan CM Jam Kamal urged PM Imran to include at least five lawmakers from the province into his cabinet.

He said the formula for increasing the representation of Balochistan would improve the economy of the province and the whole country as Balochistan has huge natural resources which could be utilised for making the economy of the country strong.
