Prime Minister Imran Khan said that countries can only progress if there is consistency in their policies. In Pakistan governments, only think about their five years tenure. He said this after inaugurating the plantation drive in Miyawaki urban forest at Jilani Park.

He further said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is spending billions for the protection of environment. The previous rulers never addressed the real issues of Lahore.

The entire nation should work towards forestation, as it is for the future of our children. “We should learn from China and think long-term when it comes to forestation,” added the premier.

Later, PM Imran Khan will chair the meetings regarding law and order situation in the province. In addition to this, the premier will also be briefed on the steps taken to control prices of basic commodities like flour, fruits and vegetables.

Prime Minister is also expected to meet the leadership of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf to devise strategy regarding upcoming Senate elections.

He will also attend an event regarding Ravi Riverfront Urban Development project.
