National carrier Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) on Saturday rejected media reports suggesting commercial flights from Islamabad to Kabul are resuming from Monday.

Abdullah Khan, a spokesperson for PIA, said that it was “keen and all geared up to restart” commercial flights from Islamabad to Kabul. However, a final decision has not been made in this regard.

Abdullah clarified that “there is some time before flight operations to Kabul resume.”

He further clarified that the flight operation “depend on a lot of factors on the ground that are still to be managed.”

The spokesman said that media reports suggesting the flight operation would resume on Monday have been taken out of context.
