After a breakup with the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and the Awami National Party (ANP) the opposition alliance, the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM), is holding a meeting to discuss anti-government strategy and regional situation.

The meeting, being held after almost two months’ break, is being presided over by JUI-F and PDM chief Maulana Fazal-ur-Rehman, with Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif, former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, and Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party Mahmood Khan Achakzai in attendance.

It is learnt that British government’s refusal to extend Nawaz Sharif’s visa will also come under discussion during the meeting.

Since the ANP and the PPP have parted ways with the PDM, they have not been invited to attend the meeting.
