The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided to administer the COVID-19 vaccine on the players. For this purpose, the board has reached out to several companies, according to the sources.
After getting the vaccine, the biosecure bubble will not be a necessity for the players and they will have the freedom to move around during a series or tournament.
The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has already announced that they will be administrating the vaccine on the players by the end of next month.
The PCB also intends to inoculate the officials and support staff. It will be interesting to see whether the board can do the vaccination drive before the start of Pakistan Super League in February.
All around the world, the athletes have complained about the stress and mental fatigue that comes with living in these bubbles and many have opted out of series and tournaments considering their mental health.
