Muhammad Ijaz, commonly known as Pakistan’s “tallest man,” breathed his last on Wednesday in Punjab’s Bhakkar district at the age of 42.

According to Ahmed’s family, he was suffering from a bone disease.

Talking to media, Ahmed’s brother said that Ahmed was Pakistan’s tallest man, with a height of eight feet two inches. He added that Ahmed’s funeral prayer will be offered tomorrow at his native village.

It’s worth noting that Naseer Soomro who is known to be Pakistan’s second tallest man with a height of seven feet nine inches, is reported to be suffering from chronic lung illness.

Earlier in September, the Sindh government stated that it will cover the costs of therapy for Soomro.

Sindh Condition Minister Dr Azra Fazal Pechuho took note of his deteriorating health and issued orders for his treatment at the Agha Khan University Hospital in Karachi at the province government’s cost.

Earlier in 2018, Soomro, who is a resident of Sindh’s Shikarpur area, was placed on a ventilator at a private hospital owing to breathing problems. Soomro was later said to have died in some viral posts circulating on social media. However, the claims were found out to be incorrect.
