Dr Nausheen Hamid, Parliamentary Secretary, National Health Services Regulations, has warned Pakistan’s public against the violation of COVID-19 Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). She stated that if the country does not adhere to SOPs, stricter measures will be introduced.
Pakistan is to receive another shipment of 50,000 COVID-19 vaccines this week. Authorities stated that citizens who received the first dose will also get the second inoculation.
Pakistan has recorded over 3,400 single-day cases for two consecutive days as the country’s positivity rate reaches 8%. As of March 19, the total active COVID-19 cases in Pakistan stand at 27,188 with 13757 deaths.
