In the last 24 hours, 1,615 people tested positive for COVID-19 in Pakistan while 26 lost their lives, according to the latest statistics released by the National Command and Control Centre (NCOC). Most casualties were seen in the province of Punjab followed by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

As of February 1, the total active COVID-19 cases in Pakistan stand at 33,493. Yesterday, 34,785 tests were conducted with Sindh conducting 11,031; Punjab: 11,431; Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: 6,077; Islamabad: 5,059; Balochistan: 438; Gilgit-Baltistan: 400 and Azad Kashmir: 349.

Out of 1,756 ventilators reserved for COVID-19 patients in the country, 283 ventilators are currently occupied. There is no patient on the ventilator in AJK, GB and Balochistan.

A total of 501,252 cases have been detected so far in the country with AJK reporting 9,019; Balochistan: 18,823; GB: 4,909, ICT: 41,418, KPK: 67,214; Punjab: 157,796 and Sindh: 247,249.

Till now, Pakistan has recorded 11,683 deaths. Punjab is on top of the list with 4,747 casualties followed by Sindh: 3,996, KPK: 1,906; Islamabad: 475; Balochistan: 195; GB: 102 and AJK: 262.

631 hospitals in Pakistan are equipped with COVID-19 facilities with 2,541 patients being treated. Till now, Pakistan has conducted 7,966,981 tests.
