In the last 24 hours, Pakistan recorded 56 deaths while 1,239 people tested positive for COVID-19, according to the latest statistics released by the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC). Most casualties were seen in the province of Punjab followed by Sindh.
As of June 13, the total active COVID-19 cases in Pakistan stand at 42,290. On Saturday, 36,368 tests were conducted with Sindh conducting 12,376; Punjab: 9,246; Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP): 9,678; Islamabad(ICT): 3,226; Balochistan: 1030; Gilgit-Baltistan(GB): 382 and Azad Kashmir (AJK): 430.
Out of 1,756 ventilators reserved for COVID-19 patients in the country, 329 ventilators are currently occupied. There is no patient on the ventilator in AJK, GB, and Balochistan. So far, Pakistan has seen a total of 867,576 recoveries.
A total of 941,170 cases have been detected so far in the country with AJK reporting 19,675; Balochistan: 26,201; GB: 5,707; ICT: 82,099, KP: 135,877; Punjab: 343,926 and Sindh: 327,604.
Till now, Pakistan has recorded 21,689 deaths. Punjab is on top of the list with 10,501 casualties followed by Sindh: 5,236 KP: 4,216; Islamabad: 771; Balochistan: 294; GB: 108 and AJK: 563
639 hospitals in Pakistan are equipped with COVID-19 facilities with 2,891 patients being treated across the country. A total of 13,818,039 tests have been conducted so far in the country since the pandemic started.
