In the last 24 hours, 3,301 people tested positive for COVID-19 in Pakistan while 30 lost their lives, according to the latest statistics released by the National Command and Control Centre (NCOC). Most casualties were seen in the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) followed by Punjab.
As of March 24, the total active COVID-19 cases in Pakistan stand at 36,849. Yesterday, 38,282 tests were conducted with Sindh conducting 6,304; Punjab: 17,933; Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP): 6,786; Islamabad (ICT): 5,226; Balochistan: 684; Gilgit-Baltistan (GB): 270 and Azad Kashmir (AJK): 1,070.
Of the ventilators reserved for COVID-19 patients, 364 are occupied across Pakistan. 35% of the reserved ventilators are occupied in Peshawar, 52% in Multan, 57% in Islamabad, and 52% in Lahore. No patients are on ventilators in Balochistan, AJK, and GB.
A total of 637,042 cases have been detected so far in the country with AJK reporting 11,946; Balochistan:19,374; GB:4,975; ICT:53,136, KPK:81,204; Punjab: 202,743 and Sindh:263,664.
Till now, Pakistan has recorded 13,965 deaths. Punjab is on top of the list with 6,048 casualties followed by Sindh: 4,482; KPK: 2,238; Islamabad: 552; Balochistan: 203; GB: 103 and AJK: 339.
631 hospitals in Pakistan are equipped with COVID-19 facilities with 3,104 patients being treated across the country. A total of 9,895,515 tests have been conducted so far.
