In the last 24 hours, 2,545 people tested positive for COVID-19 while 71 lost their lives according to the latest statistics provided by the National Command and Control Centre (NCOC).
As of December 17, the total active COVID-19 cases in the country are 42,851. Yesterday, 40,090 tests were conducted with Sindh conducting 11,495; Punjab: 16,458; Khyber Pakhtunkhwa : 4,379; Islamabad: 6,589; Balochistan: 295; Gilgit Baltistan: 328 and Azad Kashmir: 546
Out of 1,756 vents reserved for COVID-19 in the country, 309 are currently occupied. There is no patient on the vent in Balochistan and GB.

Till now Pakistan has recorded 9080 deaths. As far as provinces are concerned Punjab has recorded 3491 fatalities; Sindh: 3237;
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: 1502 Islamabad: 381; Balochistan: 176; Gilgit Baltistan: 99 Azad Kashmir: 194
Till now, Pakistan has conducted 6,176,889 tests. Currently, 3,050 patients are being treated in 615 COVID-19 facilities in the country.
