In the last 24 hours, the country registered 15 fatalities due to COVID-19 while 1,808 people tested positive, according to the latest statistics released by the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC). Most casualties were seen in the province of Sindh followed by Punjab.

As of July 12, the total active COVID-19 cases in Pakistan stand at 38,622. On Friday, 47,015 tests were conducted with Sindh conducting 15,998; Punjab: 17,058; Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP): 10,117 Islamabad(ICT): 1,752; Balochistan: 725; Gilgit-Baltistan(GB): 665 and Azad Kashmir (AJK): 700.

Out of 1,756 ventilators reserved for COVID-19 patients in the country, 211 ventilators are currently occupied. There is no patient on the ventilator in GB and Balochistan. So far, Pakistan has seen a total of 913,203 recoveries.

A total of 975,092 cases have been detected so far in the country with AJK reporting 21,180; Balochistan: 27,994; GB: 6,904; ICT: 83,764, KP: 139,463; Punjab: 348,309 and Sindh: 347,478.

Till now, Pakistan has recorded 22,597 deaths. Punjab is on top of the list with 10,822 casualties followed by Sindh: 5,607 KP: 4,362; Islamabad: 784; Balochistan: 317; GB: 111 and AJK: 594.

639 hospitals in Pakistan are equipped with COVID-19 facilities with 2,433 patients being treated across the country. A total of 15,103,802 tests have been conducted so far in the country since the pandemic started.
