In the last 24 hours, 1,346 people tested positive for COVID-19 in Pakistan while 53 lost their lives, according to the latest statistics released by the National Command and Control Centre (NCOC). Most casualties were seen in the province of Punjab followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
As of February 7, the total active COVID-19 cases in Pakistan stand at 32,265. Yesterday, 36,954 tests were conducted with Sindh conducting 12,570; Punjab: 12,167; Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: 5,986; Islamabad: 4,922; Balochistan: 541; Gilgit-Baltistan: 360 and Azad Kashmir: 408.
Out of 1,756 ventilators reserved for COVID-19 patients in the country, 259 ventilators are currently occupied. There is no patient on the ventilator in AJK, GB and Balochistan.
A total of 554,474 cases have been detected so far in the country with AJK reporting 9,199; Balochistan: 18,859; GB: 4,916; ICT: 41,934, KPK: 68,338; Punjab: 160,580 and Sindh: 250,648.
Till now, Pakistan has recorded 11,967 deaths. Punjab is on top of the list with 4,880 casualties followed by Sindh: 4,087; KPK: 1,952; Islamabad: 478; Balochistan: 196; GB: 102 and AJK: 272.
631 hospitals in Pakistan are equipped with COVID-19 facilities with 2,295 patients being treated. Till now, Pakistan has conducted 8,192,720 tests.
