In the last 24 hours, 1714 people tested positive for COVID-19 in Pakistan while 38 lost their lives, according to the latest statistics released by the National Command and Control Centre (NCOC). Most casualties were seen in the province of Punjab followed by Sindh.

As of March 6, the total active COVID-19 cases in Pakistan stand at 17,352. Yesterday, 38,200 tests were conducted with Sindh conducting 9,872; Punjab:15,687; Khyber Pakhtunkhwa(KP):6,973; Islamabad(ICT):4,059; Balochistan:596; Gilgit-Baltistan(GB):317 and Azad Kashmir(AJK):696.

Out of 1,756 ventilators reserved for COVID-19 patients in the country, 210 ventilators are currently occupied. There is no patient on the ventilator in AJK, GB and Balochistan.

A total of 588,728 cases have been detected so far in the country with AJK reporting 10464; Balochistan:19106; GB:4958; ICT:45329, KPK:73515; Punjab:175964 and Sindh:259392.

Till now, Pakistan has recorded 13166 deaths. Punjab is on top of the list with 5534 casualties followed by Sindh:4411; KPK:2104; Islamabad: 506; Balochistan: 200; GB: 102 and AJK: 309.

631 hospitals in Pakistan are equipped with COVID-19 facilities with 2,002 patients being treated across the country. A total of 9,173,593 tests have been conducted so far.
