In the last 24 hours, 1160 people tested positive for COVID-19 in Pakistan while 16 lost their lives, according to the latest statistics released by the National Command and Control Centre (NCOC). Out of the 16 deaths, 5 died on ventilators.

As of February 22, the total active COVID-19 cases in Pakistan stand at 24,226. Yesterday, 32,313 tests were conducted with Sindh conducting 11,040; Punjab:10,310; Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP):6,273 ; Islamabad (ICT):3,150 ; Balochistan:386 ; Gilgit-Baltistan (GB): 508 and Azad Kashmir (AJK): 646.

Out of 1,756 ventilators reserved for COVID-19 patients in the country, 247 ventilators are currently occupied. There is no patient on the ventilator in AJK, GB and Balochistan. A total number of 535,491 people recovered so far across Pakistan.

A total of 572,334 cases have been detected so far in the country with AJK reporting 9828; Balochistan:18988 ; GB:4951 ; ICT:43485 , KPK:71043 ; Punjab:167819 and Sindh:256220.

Till now, Pakistan has recorded 12617 deaths. Punjab is on top of the list with 5208 casualties followed by Sindh: 4292; KPK:2036; Islamabad: 492; Balochistan: 199; GB: 102 and AJK: 286.

631 hospitals in Pakistan are equipped with COVID-19 facilities with 2,034 patients being treated. Till now, Pakistan has conducted 8,718,555 tests.
