In the last 24 hours, 5,312 people tested positive for COVID-19 while 105 lost their lives, according to the latest statistics released by the National Command and Control Centre (NCOC). Most casualties were seen in the province of Punjab followed by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP). The number of critical patients in Pakistan stand at 4,116.

As of April 9, the total active COVID-19 cases in Pakistan stand at 69,811. Yesterday, 54,948 tests were conducted with Sindh conducting 9,392; Punjab:25,871; Khyber Pakhtunkhwa(KP):8,090; Islamabad(ICT):8,711; Balochistan:1,257; Gilgit-Baltistan(GB):467 and Azad Kashmir(AJK):1,160.

Out of 1,756 ventilators reserved for COVID-19 patients in the country, 509 ventilators are currently occupied. There is no patient on the ventilator in GB, and Balochistan. So far, Pakistan has seen a total of 625,789 recoveries.

A total of 710,829 cases have been detected so far in the country with AJK reporting 14,069; Balochistan:20,097; GB:5,097; ICT:64,173, KP:96,128; Punjab:243,295 and Sindh:267,970.

Till now, Pakistan has recorded 15,229 deaths. Punjab is on top of the list with 6,851 casualties followed by Sindh:4,521; KP:2,553; Islamabad: 597; Balochistan: 213; GB: 103 and AJK: 391.

630 hospitals in Pakistan are equipped with COVID-19 facilities with 4,787 patients being treated across the country. A total of 10,639,825 tests have been conducted so far.
