The ODI series between Pakistan and Afghanistan is now at risk of getting postponed after Sri Lankan government imposed a countrywide lockdown due to the prevailing COVID-19 situation.
As per the details coming out, Sri Lankan Cricket Board has informed both the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) about the newly-imposed lockdown in the country.
Furthermore, SLC has told the Afghanistan board to take permission from their government before confirming their series against the Men in Green. The three-match white ball series is scheduled from 1-5 September in Hambantota.
It is important to note that the Pakistan board didn’t go ahead with their training camp and neither announced the squad due to no release of the schedule and training plan by Afghanistan Cricket Board.
