The Sindh government has shifted Ahmed Omar Saeed Sheikh and others accused in Daniel Pearl murder case to newly-constructed rooms inside the prison.
There will be no internet facility or contact with outside world for the inmates. Only family members are allowed a meeting from 8am to 5pm.
The step was taken on the Supreme Court orders last week that authorities should move Sheikh from death cell in the Karachi Central Prison to a government rest house.
A source confirmed that on a notification issued by the Sindh home department in this regard, all the suspects have been moved to the newly-built rest house inside the prison.
Their families have also offered accommodation in Qasr-e-Naz, a federal government owned building in the city.
