The Punjab government ordered petrol stations not to sale the commodity to those motorists who have not yet vaccinated against coronavirus.
The order has been enforced from September 1 (today).
The government has also ordered transporters not to allow unvaccinated people to board the vehicles.
Moreover, people will not be able to eat in restaurants without vaccination certificate. Without vaccination, people in Punjab will not be able to make hotel bookings.
Meanwhile, the Lahore district administration has banned entry of unvaccinated people to shops, markets and malls in a bid to a bid to boost vaccination drive in the provincial capital.
It also decided to arrest unvaccinated people from shopping malls besides booking government officials refusing COVID-19 vaccination. The government officials who are refusing the vaccination or have not yet received the jabs would be charged under the Punjab Employees Efficiency, Discipline and Accountability Act 2006.
In this connection,
Lahore Commissioner Captain (retd) Muhammad Usman Younis held a meeting with Lahore CCPO Ghulam Mahmood Dogar and Deputy Commissioner Umar Sher Chattha “to implement COVID-19 Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and vaccination strictly.”
Moreover, vaccination cards of citizens visiting shops, markets, and shopping malls would be checked while outlets violating the SOPs would be sealed for a longer period spanning not less than a week.
