Pakistan has not imposed any new travel restrictions on British or any other diplomats or staff, sources in Islamabad have stated.

The only restriction in place is that all diplomats stationed in Islamabad require a no-objection certificate (NOC) before leaving the capital territory.

The NOC is needed in order to ensure security to diplomats, the sources stated, adding that this regulation has been in place for over two decades. Any reports of new restrictions being imposed are “incorrect, malicious and propaganda by all means,” the sources said.
