Karachi: There is no internet problem in any part of Pakistan, nor did the IMEWE cable go offline, said Fariha Tahir Shah General Manager Communication Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL).
“It was fine,” she said, dispelling rumours that implied otherwise.
There were rumours in Pakistan that IMEWE (India-Middle East-Western Europe) connection is reportedly offline and any data transmission on this international submarine cable, which carries a major portion of Pakistan’s internet traffic, is currently not available for service.
Pakistan now has different marine cables that connect it with different countries, but there is no complaint regarding slow internet or disconnection in any part of the country, she said.
