Maryam Nawaz, grand daughter of Begum Shamim Akhtar, received this information in Peshawar where she was attending rally of Pakistan Democratic Movement. She left to Lahore immediately. In her twit, Maryam Nawaz complained that she received information two hours late as government had suspended phone services. She said government officials or ministers did not bother to inform me about the demise of grandmother.
