On Monday evening, a 17-years-old girl was kidnapped and gang-raped by two robbers on the motorway bridge in the jurisdiction of Farooqabad police station.

The incident took place less than 3kM away from the place where the motorway gang-rape incident took place in September.

The victim and her family registered the First Incident Report (FIR) with the police. According to Police FIR, the victim along with father, mother, and brother came to attend a cousin’s marriage ceremony in Krial Village of Sheikhupura, an adjacent district of Lahore.

The FIR further details that the victim, her family, and her uncle were travelling back home when two persons armed with a pistol and an axe stopped them. The armed robbers took phones, cash and other valuables before tying up the family except for the victim.

The police report mitigates the intensity of the crime by stating that the robbers tied up the family and temporarily took the victim away. After she returned home, according to the report, she informed the family about the gang-rape.

On the other hand, according to the family, they were aware of robbers intentions as they were tied up, and the incident happened in cover nearby.

So far nobody has been arrested and neither has the test, for the Medico-Legal Certificate (MLC) of the victim, been performed. This might act as a legal safe-exit for the perpetrators even if the police manages to capture them.
