Alleging foul play in the by-polls, Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) Vice President Maryam Nawaz demanded re-election in the National Assembly constituency NA-75 Sialkot-IV.

She said in a press conference that there are “irrefutable evidence” of rigging and the Election Commission of Pakistan’s (ECP) “charge sheet against the government” who doubted fair play in polling.

An ECP statement expressed the doubt over results of 20 polling stations in the by-election for the NA-75.

The ECP said results of the NA-75 constituency were received after “unnecessary delay”, adding that it tried to contact the presiding officers several times but could not contact them.

Maryam told the ECP that the nation is watching and urged it to reclaim its “respect” by taking action against rigging.

She called for resignation of against Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar and Prime Minister Imran Khan for allegedly trying to steal votes and murdering two people during firing in Daska.

She condoled with the families of the two people who were killed in violence during the by-polls.

Maryam claimed that a violence was planned a day before polling in Wazirabad and Daska as it was evident that the PML-N was in a strong position.

She said in Nowshera, the government could not tolerate that the PML-N had made inroads in its stronghold. The PTI camps were empty and the PML-N had been in lead, she added.

The PML-N leader said they resorted to firing and there is a video of PTI candidate and his relatives firing.

A video was then played purportedly of the firing incident.

The PML-N vice president claimed that party workers caught PTI men allegedly trying to steal ballot papers in Punjab Assembly PP-51 Wazirabad constituency.
