The Lahore High Court (LHC) chief justice, Mohammad Ameer Bhatti, has barred the judges across Punjab from using social media, including the messaging app WhatsApp.
CJ Bhatti, who was sworn in last week as the chief justice, issued new rules and regulations. As per the rules, judges will not be allowed to use WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, and other apps. Blue protocol lights and green number plates have been banned by the top judge as well. Those who violate the rules will face strict action.
