Kashmiris all around the world are observing India Republic Day as Black Day. The purpose behind this is to draw the international community’s attention towards the atrocities and human right violations of the Indian army in Jammu and Kashmir.
The All Parties Hurriyat Conference has also asked people to suspend all activities to protest against the illegal occupation. Rallies will be held in all 10 districts of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).
Masood Khan, the President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir also shared a video message and spoke against the brutality and illegal occupation of the Indian forces. “It is a Black Day for the people of Kashmir as Indian army has illegally occupied a part of their land. India celebrates Republic Day every year and presents itself as the world’s biggest democracy but in real its hand are stained with blood of Kashmir.”
Muhammad Yousuf Naqash, Chairman of the Islamic Political Party in a statement said, “Freedom from India is the destiny of Kashmiris and the destiny of India to destroy the peace of the region is nothing but her destruction, ”
Jammu and Kashmir National Front (JKNF) said that India is violating the fundamental rights of people of Occupied Kashmir and has no point of clebrating its rebublic day in Indian Illegaly Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
In Mirpur, people of all segments of civil society gathered to show solidarity with the people of Kashmir. This rally will be followd by a huge procession at Shaheed chowk, according to the organisers.
The city elders representing all segments of the civil society will highlighted the importance of early peaceful settlement of the Kashmir problem besides expressing severe hatred against India for her India’s continual unlawful and forced occupation of Kashmir for the past over seven decades.
