Due to COVID-19 pandemic, the sixth edition of the Pakistan Super League will be held in Karachi and Lahore. The management of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) made this decision to bring down the expenses with regards to forming a bio-secure bubble for the event.
The National Stadium in Karachi will host matches from February 20 to March 7. The remainder of the matches including the Playoffs will be played in Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium. Matches will be played without spectators at both venues.
Last year, Rawalpindi and Multan also hosted PSL matches and it was a sell-out in all the games. Defending champions Karachi Kings will be up against Quetta Gladiators in the first game of the tournament.
This time around PCB consulted with the franchises before finalizing the schedule. Last year, Quetta Gladiators raised concerns about the travelling and lack of practice time between matches in the tournament.
