The International Monetary Fund representative Teresa Daban Sanchez commended the Kamyab Youth program and the Government’s initiatives to empower the substantial youth of Pakistan. Sanchez met with Muhammad Usman Dar, the Prime Minister on Youth Affairs on Thursday and discussed the initiative in detail.
Prime minister Usman Dar briefed Sanchez about the digital dashboard of the Programme, he stated that approximately 68 per cent of the country’s population consisted of the youth. With about 2 million of them entering the job market every year. He stated that providing them with employment was a huge challenge, but the programme had provided thousands of the youth with opportunities and many now owned businesses.
Teresa Sanchez expressed confidence in the detailed program. She keenly inquired about the technical aspects and loan statistics of the programme. She emphasized the importance of focus on youth empowerment and raising awareness about such opportunities so that more talented youth could benefit from them.
The Kamyab jawan program focuses on empowering the youth by providing scholarships, technical training facilities and loans for entrepreneurship.
