A three-member bench of the Islamabad High Court heard the Kulbhushan Jadhav case today. The Deputy Attorney General (DAG) and Amicus Curiae Hamid Khan were also present before the court.

“Attorney General is busy in the presidential reference case,” the Deputy AG said.

“Mohammad Ismail has been repatriated to India on January 22,” he said of the Indian prisoner who had been in capitivity in Pakistan.

Barrister Shahnawaz Noon, who had been representing the Indian prisoners, was not present at the hearing today.

“Where is Barrister Noon?” Justice Mian Gul Aurangzeb asked.

“Barrister Shah Nawaz Noon should be present before the court,” Chief Justice of IHC said.

“On the next date, please inform us that whether any contact with govt of India has been established or not,” Chief Justice of IHC said. “It is absolutely essential to establish contact with the government of India.”

The Kulbhushan Jadhav case has been adjourned until March 9, 2021. The Jadhav case has been stalled by the Indian government’s refusal to accept Pakistan’s offer for third consular access. The Indian government has not yet appointed a Pakistani lawyer for the Indian spy.
