The National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) reported on Tuesday that the current positivity ratio in the country stood at 4.4%, with the highest positivity ratio being observed in Hyderabad at 25.56%.
In the last 24 hours, 1,873 people tested positive for COVID-19 in Pakistan while 58 lost their lives. Most deaths were recorded in the province of Punjab followed by Sindh.
As of January 24, the total active COVID-19 cases in Pakistan stand at 34,412. Yesterday, 42,587 tests were conducted with Sindh conducting 11,709; Punjab: 18,156; Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: 65,413; Islamabad: 5,778; Balochistan: 290; Gilgit-Baltistan: 330 and Azad Kashmir: 240.
Out of 1,756 ventilators reserved for COVID-19 patients in the country, 310 ventilators are currently occupied. There is no patient on the ventilator in AJK, GB and Balochistan.
A total of 535,914 cases have been detected so far in the country with AJK reporting 8,855; Balochistan: 18,754; GB: 4,902, ICT: 40,892, KPK: 65,750; Punjab: 154,717 and Sindh: 242,054.
Till now, Pakistan has recorded 11,376 deaths. Punjab is on top of the list with 4,608 casualties followed by Sindh: 3,900, KPK: 1,848; Islamabad: 468; Balochistan: 193; GB: 102 and AJK: 257.
632 hospitals in Pakistan are equipped with COVID-19 facilities with 2,703 patients being treated. Till now, Pakistan has conducted 7,722,829 tests.
