Four Frontier Corps (FC) soldiers, including a junior commissioned officer (JCO) were martyred in a terrorist attack in Balochistan on Monday, said an ISPR press release.
Terrorists targeted the FC troops deployed on the security of Marget Mines on the Marget-Quetta Road using an improvised explosive device (IED), the ISPR said.
Those martyred included Subedar Sardar All Khan, a resident of village Wanda Lungar Kel in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Lakki Marwat district, Sepoy Musaddaf Hussain, a resident of Chak 272 EB in Punjab’s Vehari district, Sepoy Muhammad Anwar, a resident of Wanda Talgi in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Dera Ismail Khan district, and Sepoy Awais Khan, a resident of village Bandal in Azad Kashmir’s Neelum District.
The ISPR said that a large-scale area sanitization operation by the Balochistan FC to hunt the terrorists is underway.
It said that such cowardly acts by the terrorists cannot sabotage the hard-earned peace and prosperity in Balochistan.
The security forces are determined to neutralise their nefarious designs even at the cost of blood and lives, the ISPR press release said.
