In the last 24 hours, Pakistan recorded 24 fatalities due to COVID-19 while 1,277 people tested positive, according to the latest statistics released by the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC). Most casualties were seen in the province of Sindh followed by Punjab.
As of July 2, the total active COVID-19 cases in Pakistan stand at 31,910. On Tuesday, 46,941 tests were conducted with Sindh conducting 13,935; Punjab: 19,157; Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP): 9,555; Islamabad(ICT): 1,956; Balochistan: 962; Gilgit-Baltistan(GB): 676 and Azad Kashmir (AJK): 700.
Out of 1,756 ventilators reserved for COVID-19 patients in the country, 228 ventilators are currently occupied. There is no patient on the ventilator in GB, and Balochistan. So far, Pakistan has seen a total of 904,320 recoveries.
A total of 959,685 cases have been detected so far in the country with AJK reporting 20,405; Balochistan: 27,242; GB: 6,239; ICT: 82,779, KP: 138,179; Punjab: 346,454 and Sindh: 338,387.
Till now, Pakistan has recorded 22,345 deaths. Punjab is on top of the list with 10,761 casualties followed by Sindh: 5,478 KP: 4,324; Islamabad: 779; Balochistan: 309; GB: 111 and AJK: 583.
639 hospitals in Pakistan are equipped with COVID-19 facilities with 2,112 patients being treated across the country. A total of 14,637,171 tests have been conducted so far in the country since the pandemic started.
